Each Baptism at Church of Our Saviour is a joyous time for the community. In baptism we symbolize a commitment, either for ourselves or for our children, to live in accordance with Christ's message.
Adult candidates for Baptism and their sponsors prepare through a series of classes conducted by our clergy. Typically, class times are scheduled on weekday evenings and meet at Church of Our Saviour. Usually, adult baptisms take place on the night of the Easter Vigil.
Parents who wish to have their children baptized attend two preparation classes conducted by our clergy and youth minister. Each year we schedule baptisms on the four days that are especially appropriate for the rite to be performed: A Sunday in Easter, the Day of Pentecost, All Saints' Day (or the Sunday after), and on the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord (the First Sunday of Epiphany). Contact Josh Frank, the Youth Minister and Children's Formation director, for more information.
